My family celebrated my mum’s 90th birthday dinner here last week. The restaurant has wheelchair accessibility and easy free parking. Decor is slightly dated but more importantly, the food was good. We preordered the lobster noodle dish, fish cooked 2 ways and the roasted duck. All tasted delicious. Lobster noodle was decent portion. Fish was really fresh and duck was tender and flavourful. The salt and pepper squid and crispy beef were also yummy. We all had a favourite dish that we don’t mind coming back again soon!

This is a gem of a place! I live close by but have never tried it before today and I regret that! 😲 The portion sizes are huge and there are heaps of veggo options. The flavour of every dish we had was on point. A friend who was with, who normally likes to add salt, happily declared that salt was not needed as the flavour was awesome. I loved that the veggies were fresh and crunchy! 🥦🥗🥕🥬 Great prices and very quick service. There can be at least 200 people seated at once! Massive! There is a big lazy Susan on every table which makes for sharing dishes, fun and easy. We even indulged in dessert. The deep fried ice cream has coconut on it which is nice. The red been pancakes are also very good. 🍦 All in all...a great experience! Will be back to try more soon! 🥳

Someone told me after the previous owner had moved out, the quality of the food here had dropped. Not so, cause the $10 lunch special lemongrass chicken with fried rice was delicious. The chicken was so tender and it gave grill-BBQ taste and wonderful aroma. We enjoyed this meal. We liked the well-roasted $11 fried vermicelli with hot egg sauce. We had added soy sauce to the less salty egg sauce. And we gave our feedback to the staff to add more egg sauce in future. Good lunch though. (2021-10)

Our Merry Widows goes about once a month. The food is excellent at a price we can afford. The service is very good and friendly also. Highly recommend
